Vancouver Entrepreneur Alan Juristovski Passes Away
It is with deep sadness that we report the death of Vancouver entrepreneur Alan Juristovski. Alan passed away on Friday, November 22nd.
Alan, along with Milun Tesovic, co-founded the music lyrics dedicated website MetroLyrics.
Founded in Burnaby in 2004, MetroLyrics was the first site to provide users with a database of licensed, complete and accurate song lyrics and to compensate copyright holders for the content through its partnership with Gracenote.
MetroLyrics was acquiredin 2011 by the CBS Interactive Music Group.
A memorial service will be held for Alan on Sunday, December 1st at 10:30 am at Forest Lawn Memorial at 3789 Royal Oak Avenue in Burnaby.
According to Alan’s daughter Ada, the service will be held in true Alan tech-geek fashion with live-tweeting encouraged. The official hashtag will be #CelebratingAlan as Alan wanted this to be a celebration more than a mourning.

In lieu of flowers the Juristovski family has requested donations in honor of Alan to Covenant House.
