Can you tell us a bit about your education and career background?

I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing in 2016 and have been working in social media, digital marketing, and analytics roles over the last four years.

Why did you choose to study at BrainStation?

I had heard good things about BrainStation and it is a recognized name in my industry for professionals looking to up-level their skill set.

What was the most challenging part of your learning experience?

The most challenging part was definitely learning how to keep up with full-time work and the course load at the same time.

How has your BrainStation experience impacted your career?

BrainStation has had a big impact on my career, helping me position myself as the 'Data Guy' within my team and make a case for why I should be promoted into a new role.

What would you say were the most valuable skills you learned?

I’d say that the most valuable skill I learned during my time at BrainStation was SQL.

How have you incorporated those skills into your current role?

I am using the software and tools that I learned at Brainstation (Tableau, SQL, Advanced Excel) in my day-to-day work now.

What advice would you give to professionals considering a BrainStation course?

Come with a curious mindset to every class. It is in your hands to make the best of whatever course you are going to take.
