Global creative platform Shutterstock sponsors leading digital skills training provider, empowering more professionals with job-ready digital skills.

New York, NY — BrainStation, the global leader in digital skills training, today announced that Shutterstock – and its Women@Shutterstock network – has joined the company’s industry-leading scholarship program, empowering professionals with the skills needed to thrive in the fast-changing technology industry.

As part of the program, Shutterstock will provide aspiring tech professionals, particularly women and members of underrepresented groups, with scholarships toward award-winning bootcamps and courses in data science, design, development, marketing, and product management.

“The BrainStation scholarship program is part of our mission to make digital skills training accessible to as many individuals as possible. We’re proud to partner with a forward-thinking company like Shutterstock and its Women@Shutterstock network, which furthers our commitment to closing the gender and skills gaps,” said Jason Field, BrainStation’s Founder and CEO.

“Women currently make up 55 percent of our student body, and with partnerships and investments like this, we can further reduce the gender disparity in technology and help more women achieve their career goals,” Field said.

Women@Shutterstock is an Employee Resource Group (ERG) that brings women’s issues in the workplace to the forefront of the Shutterstock community to positively impact the company culture. The group’s mission is to inspire and empower inclusivity by creating and fostering opportunities for growth, leadership, and success.

“Women@Shutterstock is thrilled to partner with BrainStation to foster future innovation through education,” says Rashi Khurana, VP of Engineering at Shutterstock. “With all the diversity in the world, it’s imperative we provide equal opportunities that nurture the growth of the young women of today who will be the leaders of tomorrow.”

Since its founding in 2012, BrainStation has awarded over $2.5 million in scholarship funding, empowering over 100,000 professionals around the world with digital skills training. Over 90 percent of graduates from the company’s bootcamps find work within 180 days of graduation.
