AccelerateAB Launches Keynote Series, Engages Community Through Crowdsourced Themes
You won’t have to wait until May 2015 for AccelerateAB anymore.
Alberta’s premier tech startup event is launching the AccelerateAB Keynote Series, making the event’s learning and connecting opportunities possible throughout the year.
Part of The C100’s Accelerate Series, AccelerateAB is put on in partnership with The A100 and the VCAA. They also receive support from Startup Edmonton, Startup Calgary, AcceleratorYYC and Assembly Coworking Space.
“AccelerateAB has been well supported by the community and its leaders,” says Carolynn Winterhalt, the Executive Director of The A100. “That support has enabled us to invest back into the community.”
Each event in the series will have themes that are community-driven and crowdsourced. Participants will be able to suggest future discussions and recommendations for future events.
“Many groups have come together to embrace the event and we are excited to see where it leads,” adds Winterhalt.
The first event, which will be held in Edmonton on October 14 and in Calgary on October 15, features a keynote talk by Jack Newton, founder of Clio. Newton is a graduate of the University of Alberta.
Tickets are now available for the sessions at Startup Edmonton and The Commons in Calgary.
