Credit Karma Expands to Canada, Offering Free Access to Credit Scores

As it works to make financial progress possible for everyone, personal finance company Credit Karma this week announced it has launched in Canada.

Through Credit Karma, Canadians will have free online access to their credit score and full credit report, updated weekly. They will also receive personalized recommendations from the siteon how to best manage their everyday finances.

“Since our founding nine years ago, many Canadians have asked for Credit Karma, which made selecting Canada as our first market outside of the U.S. a natural decision,” said CEO Kenneth Lin. “We’re putting people first when it comes to information and services that promote financial progress.”

Credit Karma says it also has plans to expand the Canadian rollout to include many of the company’s features and tools that enable US consumers to take informed steps toward improving their financial situation.

Founded in 2007, Credit Karma has more than 60 million members.
