Fender has announced a new partnership with Klarna allowing for a new “buy now, pay later” option on their website, Fender.com.

Fender is the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers, marketers, and distributors and now US-based customers can make use of more flexible payment options while shopping, thanks to Klarna.

Klarna is the leading global payments company that pioneered “buy now, pay later” online shopping options. Thanks to the new Fender partnership, customers can purchase musical instruments, gear, and other products in “four equal, interest-free installments or get low-interest financing for up to 36 months.”

“We are excited to partner with Klarna to bring music into more lives, especially now when many of us are spending a lot of time at home learning new skills,” said Tammy Van Donk, Fender’s EVP of Sales, Americas, and EMEA.

“We are always looking for ways to make music accessible to more people with our dealer partners and directly through Fender. By giving players alternative payment options through Klarna on Fender.com, we’re opening up an opportunity for musicians of all levels to explore creativity and continue their musical journey.”

“Buy now, pay later” has become increasingly popular in recent years, due to the flexibility it provides while also maintaining a high level of security. Klarna alone now has over 200,000 retail partners worldwide and challenger brands such as Splitit and Afterpay are on the rise with fintech firms worldwide.

Recently partnering with Sephora, Klarna entered the beauty space allowing American customers to purchase makeup and other beauty products in four, interest-free installments safely and securely.

“Ease and convenience play an instrumental role in the Sephora client experience, and as a digital leader we have always adapted to the evolving needs of our beauty community and their shopping journey,” said Kim Stromberg, VP and GM of e-commerce at Sephora. “With Klarna, we can continue to provide our clients the seamless shopping experience they know and love while increasing flexibility in our checkout offerings.”

Klarna is also a partner to fashion giant H&M and has recently paired up with the popular, vintage-inspired fashion brand, Modcloth
