Flybits Announces $6.5 Million Funding Round
Flybits has announced that it raised $6.5 million in Series B funding.
The Toronto-based company provides context-as-a-service and enables enterprises to leverage data intelligence with minimal complexity. Flybits makes it easier for companies to harness the complexities of context so they can become a customer’s lifestyle concierge, making sure to give them exactly what they need when and where they need it.
Information Venture Partners led the funding round together with new investors Portag3 Ventures LP and existing investors Robert Bosch Venture Capital and Trellis Capital. Two co-founders and general partners from Information Venture Partners will join Flybits board of directors.
“This funding will allow us to ramp up our sales efforts in the United States and Europe, reinforce our existing global presence and expand our product and engineering teams,” said Dr. Hossein Rahnama, Founder and CEO of Flybits. “Our product focus now is simplifying how our customers leverage their data ecosystem and drive customer engagement.”
Since their 2013 launch, Flybits has secured over $13 million of funding. This year, they experienced large month-over-month growth. Flybits allows companies to access real-time information about what a customer is doing on a mobile device then drop personalized content at the right moment. They can also access public sources and device sensors to personalize what a consumer will see.
