Georgian Partners Makes Rare $5 Million Seed Investment in AI Startup, a Toronto-based artificial intelligence enterprise software company, announced today that it has raised a $5 million seed investment from Georgian Partners.

Founded just last month by former Facebook executive Steve Irvine, is a platform for large enterprises to train AI-enabled solutions that drive customer engagement and revenue growth. plans to aggressively expand its research and development capabilities in Toronto where there is a significant pool of artificial intelligence and software engineering talent.

“I believe strongly that Canada is the best place to build an AI-first business, and this funding will enable us to quickly hire the world class AI talent on which our business will be built, right here in Toronto.”

Many of the major breakthroughs in AI over the last decade have come from Canadian researchers. Today, many leaders of the big AI research labs around the world are Canadian or have come through Canadian Institutions.

Justin LaFayette, managing partner and co-founder of Georgian Partners will join the board of directors.
