Last week Vancouver’s HootSuite won the Best Social Media Management Tool award at the 2010 Mashable Awards thanks to a customer base one million strong. This morning they launched an Affiliate Program designed to help those enthusiastic customers monetize their recommendations.
Starting today, HootSuite Pro and Enterprise plan holders can earn commissions by referring customers to the HootSuite Pro and Enterprise products as well as the HootSuite University learning program.
The affiliate commission rate is 50% of the referred customer’s first payment on eligible products and includes credit for basic (free) plan holders who upgrade within 60 days of original click. Program payouts to affiliates begin via PayPal upon reaching a minimum threshold.
Not surprisingly, HootSuite has developed a slick dynamic dashboard that allows affiliates to manage multiple campaigns, monitor account status, and track campaign success. They can also access a library of pre-built marketing tools like the promotional banner to the right.
