Innovation Immersion Program at DMZ Gives Startups Opportunity to Partner with Fujitsu

Fujitsu wants to establish partnerships with market-ready technology startups to help the firm provide solutions to Canadian customers in government sectors, the company announced this week.

And it’s looking to do so in an interesting way: across two days, for a few hours each, Fujitsu will take one-on-one meetings with potential partners and even possible investment recipients.

On July 25 and 26, between the hours of 10am and 4pm, Fujitsu will field inquiries from startups, especially those in the predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and big data spaces.

The Japan-born IT service provider wants to better assist local government agencies with policy improvements, school boards with learning outcomes, and close efficiency gaps in large-scale utilities.

Several senior leaders from Fujitsu will be present, including Craig Smith, vice president of Fujitsu Canada, and Robert Lai, vice president of Canada West Sales for the company.

Startups have until the end of June to apply for their opportunity, called Innovation Immersion, which will take place at The DMZ in Toronto.
