Lightspeed Lands Five Major Clients Ahead of Techfest Montreal
Lightspeed, a cloud-based point of sale system for restaurants and retailers, this week announced the signing of five clients within the hospitality sector.
The move signals strong growth for independent businesses in North America’s food and drink sector, according to the Montreal company.
“Hospitality needs are constantly evolving, and Lightspeed’s all-in-one cloud-based restaurant management system gives our partners the tools they need to continuously provide an unforgettable customer experience,” said Lightspeed CEO Dax Dasilva.
The new clients include Agrikol, a trendy Caribbean restaurant owned by Arcade Fire’s Régine Chassagne and Win Butler; La Marina on Manhattan waterfront; and Nobu Matsuhisa’s Nobu Ryokan, which is famous for exquisite California-infused Japanese cuisine.
“We are thrilled to bring these five exceptional businesses into the Lightspeed network and continue to be a partner in their growth and success,” Dasilva added.
Lightspeed was founded in Montreal in 2005 by CEO Dax Dasilva. In just over a decade the company has grown from four to 560 global staffers providing omni-channel solutions to 40,000 retailers, restaurants and point-of-sale businesses.
The Canadian company is one of the companies hiring at Techvibes’ inaugural Techfest Montreal in May.
