PwC Vision to Reality Award Applications Now Open for 2018
The PwC Canada Vision to Reality (V2R) Awards are back and ready to highlight some of the most forward-thinking organizations in the country.
Applications for the 2018 V2R awards are open now until Dec. 22, 2017, and companies of any size across every industry are encouraged to apply. Organizations that continually push boundaries and add value to people, business or society are what PwC Canada is looking for, and there are four total awards to be given out.
The visionary award highlights a small business or startup with less than $50 million in revenue (including pre-revenue). Small companies that add value to businesses or society can apply for this award.
The builder award recognizes midsize organizations with $51 million to $1 billion in revenue, held privately or publicly traded. Mid-size organizations that also add value to other businesses or society should apply for this award.
The reinventor award is one for the big boys, reserved for a large enterprise with over $1 billion in revenue, privately held or publicly traded. Innovation for this award is defined as an initiative that transforms the way the organization interacts with customers, supporting brand strategy and building a better path for future successes.
The accelerator is a new award for 2018, given to a public sector organization of any size. The award looks to spotlight progressive initiative that makes impactful contributions to Canadians.
“What makes this program unique is that it is open to organizations across the entirety of the Canadian business ecosystem, not just technology companies,” says Tahir Ayub, managing partner of markets and industries at PwC Canada. “Innovation can be found in small to large companies who are working towards being more competitive or serving the public. V2R Awards is here to celebrate innovation and business transformation.”
Finalists are announced in early spring 2018 and the four winners will be awarded at a show in Toronto in May 2018.
At 2017’s V2R awards, Upbrella beat out names like Borrowell and Rover to win the small organization prize. Humber River Hospital beat out ScribbleLive, Zafin and others to win the mid-market award, while RelayHealth edged out Moneris, Canadian Tire and more to claim the large enterprise award.
