“Scribble has grown significantly since its inception, and we plan to continue our success,” said Mifsud. “We started as software for live news coverage market and have evolved into an end-to-end content engagement platform with a market focus on brands and major sports organizations as well as media companies. Our goal is to grow Scribble into a large company over the next 5 years and to be the leader in the content engagement market across both media and brands.”
Recent additions to the Toronto-based company’s management team include Aleya Chattopadhyay, Chief Marketing Officer; Divesh Sisodraker, EVP of Corporate Development; and Kim Fox, VP of Content. Scribble has also added sales talent from Salesforce and LinkedIn.
Former CEO Michael De Monte will remains with Scribble as cofounder, focused on strategic sales and global accounts.
“I’m thrilled to see my vision of ScribbleLive come so far in five years,” he said, “and now it’s time to step aside and make room for a leader that can accelerate the company’s growth and build on its foundation for even greater success.”
This past June Scribble Technologies raised an $8 million funding round led by Georgian Partners that includes Export Development Canada, Summerhill Venture Partners and Rogers Venture Partners.
