Twits Tweak on Twitter over Christy Clark’s Cleavage

I hate politics.

And by that, I mean most politicans annoy the hell out of me, particularly when they bicker over trivial things in a petty clamour for votes. However, here is a case that is far more funny than anything else.

B.C. premier Christy Clark, wearing a navy knee-length dress and beige blazer—exposed her “cleavage” in what NDP MLA David Schreck has deemed inappropriate.

What’s funny about this? Well, Christy’s “cleavage” is little more an inch or two of shadow between her breasts, making David sound like  a nun, not a political pundit. And second, that he called Christy out on Twitter of all places.

“Is Premier Clark’s cleavage revealing attire appropriate for the legislature?” David tweeted yesterday. I don’t know, David. I haven’t seen her wear any revealing attire.

Province columnist Michael Smyth—who, for the record, I find obnoxious most of the time—pleased me with a sharp counterstrike, advising David to “stop ogling the premier’s goodies like a dirty old man and get back to the real issues of the day.” David stated in a follow-up tweet that Christy “crosses the line & needs 2 b called on it.”

It doesn’t matter which way you lean here, really. The humour cannot be sucked out of this situation.
