Vancouver’s NodeFly Has Quietly Raised Money and is Now Hiring
It’s always interesting to peruse the Techvibes Job Board as you’ll never know who you’re find expanding their staff.
Last week we found a curious addition from Vancouver’s NodeFly Systems who are looking for both backend and front-end web developers.
In the first line of these most recent job postings they state that “NodeFly is a Vancouver based startup that is well funded by a San Francisco Venture Capital firm.” Curious.
Started just over a year ago by veteran serial entrepreneurs Glen Lougheed and Eugene Kaydalov, NodeFly is a performance monitoring solution that has quietly built partnerships with Amazon, Softlayer, Rackspace and Joyent.
Lougheed was co-founder and the first CEO of dimeRocker and Eugene Kaydalov was co-founder and first CTO of SuperRewards (which was acquired by AdKnowledge for a rumored $50 Million).
Lougheed has confirmed with Techvibes that NodeFly raised an undisclosed amount from both a top tier VC as well as a couple of notable San Francisco and Vancouver angel investors. Thanks to a cheque-signing photo on Facebook we know that one of the local angels is Layer 7 Technologies Chief Strategy Officer Dimitir Sirota.
Lougheed also alluded that there is more to the NodeFly story to be revealed at a later date.
