Wavefront Partners with Toronto’s Connected Lab
Wavefront is adding Connected Lab, a Toronto-based digital product development studio, to its national network of innovation partners.
The Vancouver-headed Wavefront works with mobile and IoT companies to digitally transform their business. The company announced it’s enlisting Connected Lab to work with these companies to plan, design and build digital products.
“We see the significant value they will bring to our corporate clients who are looking to digitally transform but don’t have the resources or capacity to do so on their own,” said Christian Magsisi, Wavefront’s VP of enterprise solutions.
Wavefront acts as an intermediary between large enterprise companies and innovative Canadian startups and small and medium-sized enterprises, like Connected Lab.
“Wavefront does a tremendous job bringing Canadian companies together in the name of innovation,” said Mike Stern, CEO of Connected Lab. “They have the ability to connect companies that want to grow their business through software-powered products with firms like ours that can make it happen for them.”
Since its 2014 launch, Connected Lab has grown to a team of more than 100 people. Wavefront is tapping the Toronto firm for its end-to-end services that include technology explorations, user research, product launch and product optimization.
Over the past five years, Wavefront’s programs for startups and small businesses have created 6,700 jobs and generated $418 billion in GDP, according to a recent Economic Impact Report.
Earlier this month, Wavefront announced 23 innovative companies had been selected for the next collective cohort of the organization’s accelerator programs based in Vancouver, Toronto and Halifax.
