This course teaches the core, industry-standard data analytics workflow, now enhanced with AI at each step. You will move from foundations to applied analysis across three areas:
No prior experience is required. The course is beginner-friendly and does not assume any coding or data background. You will learn the tools and techniques from the ground up, including how to use AI to make working with data faster and more approachable, regardless of your technical starting point.
You will get hands-on experience with the core data analytics toolkit, including Microsoft Excel, MySQL, and Tableau, and use AI tools like Claude to accelerate data cleaning, query writing, and reporting. You will also use creative tools like Canva to present your findings.
Yes. AI is an accelerator, not a replacement for analytical skill. You will learn the core data analytics fundamentals in depth: data collection and cleaning, SQL and databases, data visualization, and data storytelling. AI is woven throughout to help you work faster and focus on insight, but the foundational skills remain the core of the course.
You will build a real-world data analysis portfolio project, developed step by step throughout the course. By the end, you will have worked through each stage of the data analysis process, used MySQL and data visualization tools, and produced a refined presentation that showcases your work, explains your process, and highlights the insights from your analysis.
It's ideal for both. The course is beginner-friendly and requires no prior experience, so it's well suited to anyone looking to move into a data role. For those new to data, it teaches the analytics workflow the right way for the modern, AI-driven job market. For professionals who already work with data, it's an effective way to formalize your skills and add AI to your toolkit.
Classes are taught live by experienced data practitioners who work in roles at top companies (like Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft). They bring real-world experience and actively use AI in their daily analytics work, so you get practical insights into what it takes to get hired and thrive as a data analyst.
The course is a part-time, 8-week program designed for working professionals. It requires 3 hours of live instruction per week, which you will attend in person at one of our locations in either New York, Toronto, or London, or entirely live online. Students typically spend an additional 2 to 4 hours per week applying what they've learned to their hands-on data analysis project.
Absolutely. Because this course builds practical, in-demand data and AI skills, it qualifies for most corporate Learning & Development budgets. We provide an Employer Sponsorship Package complete with a syllabus breakdown and an expense justification letter to help you pitch the ROI of this course to your manager.
When you enroll, you join a global network of over 40,000 BrainStation certified professionals. At our New York, Toronto, and London locations, you'll have access to networking mixers, industry panel events, and collaborative workspaces, and all learners gain access to our community Slack, where you can connect with peers and instructors and stay in touch after the course ends.
The DAC™ is a globally recognized credential. BrainStation has been a leader in AI and digital skills training since 2012 and has certified over 40,000 professionals globally. Adding this certification to your resume and LinkedIn signals to recruiters that you possess modern, validated data skills.
Don't worry: flexibility is built into the program. If you need to miss a session, our team will help make sure you're able to catch up with your cohort. Sessions are live, interactive, and hands-on, so it's important to make class attendance a priority.
We want to make upskilling accessible. We offer flexible payment options, including payment plans and partial scholarship opportunities, subject to eligibility. A Learning Advisor can help find the option that works best for you.
Data Analytics involves examining raw data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that can help guide decision-making. It uses various tools and methods, such as statistical analysis, machine learning, and analyzing data techniques, to transform data into actionable information. This process helps organizations optimize their operations, and data analysts play a crucial role in this by interpreting data from diverse sources like big data analytics and structured databases.
