Elias is an AI and engineering leader with over a decade of experience building large-scale machine learning systems. At Meta, he leads teams developing retrieval pipelines and multi-modal foundation models that power ranking, integrity, and content recommendation across Facebook, Instagram, and Ads, driving significant revenue growth while improving operational safety. Previously, Elias managed payments engineering at Stripe, scaling alternative rails across EMEA and APAC, and led search and recommendations for a global online marketplace, shaping personalised experiences for hundreds of millions of users worldwide. He began his career in data engineering where he also taught and mentored junior engineers. Elias brings real-world application and clarity to his teaching, helping learners design, scale, and apply AI systems responsibly.
