Airbnb Raises $1 Billion at Valuation of $31 Billion with No Plans to IPO

Airbnb has raised a massive $1 billion round of venture capital, valuing the company north of $30 billion.

The round was disclosed through a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

A source cited in USA Today informed the paper that Airbnb currently has no plans to go public.

Airbnb, which is now profitable according to the source, was founded in San Francisco in 2008.

Since launch, Airbnb has now raised more than $3 billion in funding, including a $555 million round last year.
