Apple approves, then removes, children’s app featuring masturbating and ejaculating cartoon [video]

Applications in this category may contain mild or infrequent occurrences of cartoon, fantasy or realistic violence, and infrequent or mild mature, suggestive, or horror-themed content which may not be suitable for children under the age of 9.

– Apple’s official description for apps in its 9+ category.

Would masturbation count as “mild mature” content… suitable for children aged 10?

Perhaps, because Apple initially approved an app called Talking Chuck, a largely pointless piece of software in which a black cartoon blob performs various goofy actions – including self-pleasuring himself (ejaculation and all). The app was described by the developers as “a fun and interactive character for your iPhone and iPod,” and, of course, “fun for everyone! Kids, adults, friends, co-workers, and more. Everyone loves Talking Chuck!”

The Talking Chuck app was removed about eight hours ago from the iTunes app store, roughly seven hours after Jack McKenna from TechCrunch first questioned its approval.
