BrainStation Launches Full-Time User Experience Design Immersive Bootcamp in Toronto
Since Konrad Group’s acquisition of BrainStationin 2014, the design team and I have had the unique opportunity and experience of creating hands-on, cutting edge curricula to help students build their digital design skills.
As a UX Design Consultant at Konrad Group working with multinational clients and the Educational Architect for BrainStation’s design courses, it has been a rewarding experience witnessing students enroll and graduate from our part-time User Experience Design course and User Interface Design course, to move on to work for companies like Loblaw and Canada Post Digital.
Both of our 10 week part-time design courses continue to sell out, proving that hands-on design training is more in-demand than ever. It of course makes sense, because it has been stated that UX Design is one of the most in demand professions in technology and design and there are more opportunities now than ever before. With this in mind, I’m excited to be working hand in hand with BrainStation to form the UX Design Immersive program, launching this summer in downtown Toronto.
Our first day of class kicks off June 20, and at a price point of $7,500, our 10 week immersive program is making learning cutting edge design a financially accessible goal for Canadians in a very short amount of time so they can get right into the field and begin making a competitive salary above $60,000.
Helping to create the curriculum, the brand and environmental graphics, have all been part of a dream project. The kind of project that gets our entire team at Konrad Group out of bed in the morning. What still excites me is the opportunity to connect with the community and adapt what our students learn in real-time to how the technology ecosystem evolves (oh it’s fast). As we help inspire and encourage students to take a leap towards a digital future, we give students the tools they need to create the world they want to live in.
I’m thrilled to have found such great collaborators in BrainStation and Konrad Group. Each year we’ve developed broader capabilities, using an interdisciplinary approach to bust out of today’s toughest education problems. That kind of thinking requires individuals with aspirations and talents that build upon each other and drive towards bigger challenges. We also work as a design and development consultancy to evolve the software that helps to drive the in-person content in the classroom, ensuring it is the most compelling educational product in the world.
At this point, as Canada’s largest technology and design school of its kind, BrainStation is the only multinational tech education provider that is teamed up with a full-service consultancy focused on design, technology and digital strategy. It gives students a unique experience as all course content is built by experts immersed in the field on a day-to-day basis. With over 200 employees across three countries at Konrad Group, enhancing the curricula based on what’s being practiced in the real world, in unison with our part-time Educators from leading digital organizations like Shopify, Freshbooks, Wattpad, Hootsuite, 500px and Unbounce, we are obsessed with moving the needle at an unmatchable speed.
So, if you’re looking to dive into design professionally and interested in learning more about UX and UI, I highly encourage you to join us for an info session on all that will be covered in the 400+ hour bootcamp. If you’re in the area (our campus is located at King & Spadina, the old backpacker’s hostel at the heart of Toronto’s tech industry), we’d love to host you for a coffee at our own coffee shop, Quantum Cafe, and give you a tour of the 20,000 sq ft campus to better understand your experiences and goals.
BrainStation attracts students from across the globe for our full-time programs, and our admissions teams work closely with each prospective student to make it the best experience possible. I’m so inspired and excited to be a part of your professional journey!
