Calgary’s EZ-Robot Opens Preorders for Three New Consumer-friendly Robots

Calgary-based robotics startup EZ-Robot has opened up preorders for its lineup of user-friendly robots.

For a price of $219 to $469, customers can own one of three types of robots, each equipped with features such as voice recognition, wifi control, and cameras. EZ-Robot says no programming experienced is needed to bring these robots to life: they learn using drag and drop behaviour software.

 

 

There is Six, a hexapod robot with six heavy duty legs and 12 degrees of freedom. There’s also Roli, a planetary rover-styled robot inspired by space exploration vehicles. And finally there is JD, the most human-like robot who engages with his surrounding environment.

EZ-Robot says these bots will ship this December so those who pre-order will have their new robotic pals by Christmas.
