Google understands that if its cutting-edge Glass technology wants to have any hope of reaching the mainstream, it can’t make people look like hardcore tech geeks. It also needs to be as practical as possible.
This is why the software giant is introducing three new types of Glass models: ones with prescription lenses, ones with fashion designer frames, and sunglasses.
The designer frames range from the hipster to the classic, while the sunglass options range from the trendy to the sporty; all in all, it’s a solid lineup of options that—aside of the still-very-obvious Google technlogy integration—makes Glass look almost normal and non-cyborgish.
Google Glass is still running tests in limited-quantity pilots but the Silicon Valley company expects to launch it widely later this year.
