Google may be planning to unveil new phones in October. The phones, the Pixel and Pixel XL, would be announced alongside a 4K Chromecast and a virtual reality devices.
According to a source cited in Android Police, October 4 will be a major, hardware-focused event for Google during which the Pixel replaces the Nexus and the company starts taking smart home and virtual reality more seriously.
The Pixel is expected to have a 5-inch screen, while the XL will have a 5.5-inch screen. Likely manufactured by HTC, these Google-branded devices will launch a month after Apple unveils the iPhone 7 next week.
