Montreal’s Hexoskin Crowdfunds to Lower Price of High-tech Shirt
With 30 days left, Hexoskin has already reached 70% of its crowdfunding goal on Indiegogo.
Founded in 2006 in Montreal, Hexoskin is a smart shirt packed with high precision health and activity sensors. The apparel measures your body metrics and gives you insights about your training, your health, and your life.
The 19-person team behind Hexoskin has taken to Indiegogo for a $100,000 campaign that aims to lower the price of the product by raising the volume of manufacturing. Those who pledge can buy the shirt starting at $339.
“After years of development, and tests by research groups, professional and amateur athletes, we’ve decided to go into production to make this technology available for all at an affordable price,” the Canadian company says.
