Track and Share Your Movember Moustache Using Mogress
Calgary’s mobile development house, Decoder, released its new iOS app, Mogress. The app makes it easy for men to capture and share the daily progress of their Movember moustaches.
In case you live under a rock, Movember is an annual, international moustache-growing event held each November to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives.
With the free Mogress app, Movember participants can keep a daily photo record of their moustache throughout the event. They can also share photos with friends and family via Facebook and Twitter.
“It was easy for me to support building this app,” said Tim Nakamura, president of Decoder. “My own dad is a prostate cancer survivor for five years now.”
Women, kids, and the follicly challenged can get in on the fun and show their support using a special feature that superimposes an illustrated moustache. Choose from dozens of virtual styles such as “The French Baguette,” “The Classic,” “The Uppity Swirl,” and “The Broom Sweeper.”
