iPhone 7 Plus More Popular Form Factor This Year; Black By Far Top Color Choice
For the first time, the larger form factor iPhone is the more popular. This year the 7 Plus is accounting for 55% of iPhone sales compared with 45% for the 7.
Last year, only 41% of consumers bought the Plus. And when Apple first launched the larger models with the 6, just 35% of consumers chose the Plus, according to data from Slice Intelligence.
69% of buyers are choosing either black or jet black, with just 8% of consumers selecting silver.
The middle size option for storage is always the most popular—this year even more so, with 67% of buyers choosing the 128GB option. Two years ago just 19% of consumers chose 128GB (when it was the largest storage option).
