Samsung Unveils Long and Lanky S8 Galaxy Phone

Samsung today unveiled the S8, its latest flagship phone, and the first major mobile launch since it recalled the Note 7 over exploding batteries.

The screen on the S8 is larger than its predecessor but, with Samsung playing it safe, the battery is not. The device also features Bixby, the company’s new digital assistant.

The larger of two S8 models boasts a massive 5.8-inch screen, while the smaller S7 features a 5.1-inch display. An S8 “Plus” features a whopping 6.2 inches of diagonal screen space. All models have curved displays.

The S8’s front camera (for selfies) is now 8 megapixels, but the main camera remains at 12.
