SpaceX Becomes First Private Company to Launch Rocket from NASA Facility
SpaceX has become the first private space firm to launch a rocket from a NASA facility after the company blasted a Falcon 9 rocket into orbit.
The launch was part of a mission to resupply the International Space Station. Dragon, the spacecraft launched into orbit by the rocket, is expected to arrive at the ISS on Wednesday.
While this Dragon is carrying only supplies, Elon Musk has made it clear that the spacecraft is designed to transport humans to space, a goal the company is “actively working toward” in agreement with NASA.
