SpaceX Launch of 10 Satellites Marks Successful Recovery
SpaceX successfully returned to sending machines into orbit by launching 10 commercial satellites over the weekend.
The company suffered from an exploding rocket last year, and spent the last four months ensuring it would not happen again.
SpaceX’s signature Falcon 9 rockets were sent on behalf of Iridium Communications, which operates the Iridium satellite constellation, a system of 66 satellites used for worldwide voice and data communication.
Many eyes were on the launch, as it was the company’s first since the disaster last fall. The launch was smooth, however, with not a single sign of trouble.
