Technology as an Industry, Entrepreneurship as a Career Both Growing in Canada: Report
Canada may lose talent to foreign hubs like Silicon Valley, but the nation remains a draw for outsiders, too, suggests a new report from LinkedIn.
While we lose talent to nations like the US, France, and Australia, we also get a lot of incoming talent from India, the UK, and Brazil, for example.
LinkedIn’s latest report, Talent Buzz 2016, shows technology as an industry and entrepreneurship as a career are both on the rise in Canada.
The Canadian software industry experienced the most growth this year, ahead of ahead of financial services, healthcare, architecture and professional services.
And entrepreneurship is the top growing job function, with the number of sole proprietors in Canada increasing by 13 per cent this year.
