Volta Labs’ Startup Empire Conference Returns to Halifax in September

Halifax-based startup house Volta Labs announced this week plans for their second annual Startup Empire conference to be held on September 24.

This one-day conference will be held at the Cineplex Theatre in the Park Lane Mall on Spring Garden Road in Halifax and will feature speakers including Howard Lindzon, co-founder and CEO of Stocktwits; Marcel LeBrun, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Salesforce Radian6; and Leila Boujnane, co-founder and CEO of Idée and Tineye.

“This conference will draw Atlantic Canadian startups together, providing access to world-class industry speakers and allowing attendees to learn from the best about how to scale their companies and drive early stage growth with sales,” said Executive Director Melody Pardoe.

Startup Empire will provide an opportunity for promising Atlantic Canadian startups to showcase their companies and products on-stage, providing conference attendees with an opportunity to meet some of our region’s most talented up-and-comers.

“The conference also gives us the chance to bring in entrepreneurs from other regions and show them what amazing things are happening here in Halifax,” noted Jevon MacDonald, Volta board member and co-founder.
