Is This Course For Me?

The part-time Web Development course is designed to teach students, who are new to web development, basic web skills. This course will teach both HTML and CSS as well as a light introduction to the JQuery framework.

By the end of this course, students should have a firm grasp on how the presentation languages of CSS and HTML work together to structure and design web pages. Students will learn how to build their own static web pages and using JQuery will learn about event-driven functionality like button clicks and animations.

Additionally students will also focus on how to add more complex features like carousels, lightboxes, and navigation bars. Using Bootstrap, students will be able to build elegant and modern looking sites for responsive websites for tablets, mobile devices and desktop.

Be sure to get a Course Package to view curriculum information, Educator details and past projects. If you have any questions about whether or not this course is for you, please contact us and we'd be happy to help.

As someone with a background in the arts, it can take me awhile to grasp the logical thinking required for coding, but the class has been excellent at giving me the foundation of coding and training me to problem solve like a developer.
