Goal Setting
Before diving into curriculum, UX Design students are given the opportunity to set their course goals, which our Educators are able to view and refer to in order to ensure students are on track and receive support to help them accomplish their goals.
Access to Learning Content
UX Design students can access course slides and resources on their own time through the BrainStation Learning Portal. This accessibility allows students to review past lecture content and reference learned concepts when working on their final UX projects or to keep concepts fresh post-graduation.
Feedback
The BrainStation Learning Portal ensures students are keeping up with course content by providing opportunities to share their comprehension of UX Design concepts. This provides valuable feedback to Educators who can get a glimpse at students’ understanding and provide support where needed.

“In the real world, innovation is outpacing education and that's something we’ve recognized at BrainStation. We’re challenging how education is delivered, curated, and published. Our students and Educators benefit from the collaborative tools we’ve developed to help us get content researched, written, and peer reviewed faster than a traditional publishing cycle. We're digital-first in every facet of the phrase and that is something we’re going to continue pushing forward to guarantee our students receive the best education available.”

Project Description
My final project was called Book Club. I worked on this final project throughout the entire course; from the user research and sketching phase, to final wireframes and a clickable prototype.
Learning Outcomes
In the process of creating my final project I had the chance to really understand the process a UX Designer goes through on a daily basis, including the importance of empathizing with users from beginning to end, and using a human centred approach to inform every decision that needs to be made.

Gabriella Santos
“Being able to combine everything I learned into my final project, really made me feel like I developed immensely as a Designer, and definitely gave me the confidence I was looking for. Most of all, it reinforced how passionate I am about this, and that it's what I truly want to be doing everyday.”
