Workshop Curriculum

Part 1: AI Fundamentals for Designers

Gain the AI fluency every modern designer needs. Build the foundational skills to craft effective prompts and harness AI tools with confidence.

AI & Digital Design

Build a designer’s understanding of how modern AI systems think, generate, and adapt. Explore how Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative tools reshape research, ideation, and content creation. Build the confidence to integrate these technologies into your design workflow while keeping creativity at the center of your practice.

Prompt Engineering Techniques

Learn to craft effective prompts that translate design intent into useful outputs. Through guided exercises, practice applying BrainStation’s multi-dimensional brand and design model to steer AI tools toward brand-aligned concepts, UX copy, and visual design ideas. Walk away with a reusable prompting framework tailored to your design process.

Part 2: AI for the Design Process

Learn to use AI as your strategic co-pilot across the design process: from enhancing discovery to accelerating your design solutions and communicating your vision with clarity and precision.

AI-Powered Discovery

Use AI to supercharge your discovery process. Learn how to synthesize interview data, analyze competitor products, and extract themes from qualitative research at scale. See how generative models can summarize findings, reveal hidden insights, and help you move from data to direction in record time.

Problem Framing

Work with AI as a thought partner to sharpen your understanding of user problems. Use LLMs to explore alternative framings, and generate “How Might We” statements, personas and empathy maps. Leverage these outputs in meaningful collaboration and problem solving.

Generate & Evaluate Design Solutions

Rapidly ideate and refine UX concepts with AI-assisted tools. Practice turning sketches or written prompts into early prototypes and UX flows, and iterate rapidly to define a bulletproof Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

Building an MVP Prototype

Bring your ideas to life by using AI-enabled tools to create interactive, high-fidelity prototypes. Learn to rapidly generate UI components, copy, and design variations that adhere to your system and brand voice, with the look and feel of a polished product.

Test & Validate

Use AI to close the feedback loop faster. Run quick usability tests and summarize feedback transcripts, or simulate feedback using AI. Apply custom GPTs trained for design critique and use AI to help compile and distill your feedback into actionable next steps and key insights.

Master Presentations

Craft compelling design stories using AI-powered visualization and narrative tools. Learn how to turn your work and user insights into clear, persuasive presentations for stakeholders. Close your workshop by showcasing your work and receiving expert feedback.

Attendees Earn a BrainStation Certificate

Attendees who successfully complete the workshop will earn a Certificate of Completion, demonstrating their commitment to developing and maintaining cutting-edge tech skills.
