Christopher Walker, Research Lead at Cash App, shared how his team used policy, market, and behavioral insights to uncover unmet needs and translate them into products that empower first-time savers, debit card holders, and everyday investors, turning complexity into clarity and building trust in financial technology.

Research Lead

Chris is the Market and Business Intelligence Lead at Block. His team leads horizontal market research across the FinTech space, covering Cash App and the rest of the Block ecosystem (Square, AfterPay and emerging initiatives like Proto (Mining) and Bitkey (Self-Custody). He previously worked as a Design Lead for IDEO, in macroeconomic research and strategy for Barclays and UBS and in emerging market Fintech at Juntos Global.
