On World Emoji Day, a Look at the Most Popular Faces Worldwide

Today is World Emoji Day—and who better to share insights on the popular icons than Facebook, which sees its billion-plus users send a combined five billion emojis on Messenger each day?

According to the social network, the most popular emoji is the classic laughing face, following by the heart-eyes face, and the winking kiss face.

Only one non-face emoji cracked the top ten on Facebook: the red heart.
