At the Mobile App Showdown at this year’s International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Toronto-based uCiC won both the live and online competition.
uCiC (You see, I see) allows users to select any area in the world and reach out to fellow users, whether you know them or not, to complete an image or video request for you.
Along with reward of good deed, they receive in- app Karma Points that they can further use to make their own requests.
This is the second year in a row that a Canadian app has won the Mobile App Showdown. Last year Montreal’s PasswordBox was named the top winner. Eleven months later PasswordBox was acquired by Intel.
