Is This Course For Me?

BrainStation’s part-time Data Analytics course is ideal for anyone looking to make better sense of their data. The course is broken down into 4 major components, including an overview of understanding data, how to analyze data, an introduction to databases, and how to effectively communicate data.

Project-based learning gives students an opportunity to take what is learned each lesson and apply it to a real-world example. By the end of the course, students will have built out a dashboard to provide insight into a publicly available set of data.

This course is designed to make working with data more approachable, and will teach students what it takes to be a Data Analyst. By the end of this course, students will feel comfortable working with large sets of data, and be able to draw conclusions and aid in decision making processes.

This course is ideal for anyone working in fields of marketing, product development, project management, or general business administration.

Be sure to get a Course Package to view curriculum information, Educator details and past projects. If you have any questions about whether or not this course is for you, please contact us and we'd be happy to help.

Before BrainStation, I never thought I was the kind of person who would get, let alone enjoy, digital. The instructors were approachable, knowledgable and constantly available - even outside of class.

We were inspired by the recent news events of a few US airlines kicking passengers off their flights.

Project Description

We analyzed social and financial data across major North American airlines over the past decade to look for brand and financial impact caused by negative customer experiences.

Learning Outcomes

We were able to integrate all three tools learned in class (Excel, SQL and Tableau) to create, manipulate and present our findings.
