Event Overview
Cars are no longer just machines, they’re software platforms on wheels. In this session, Nick Sexton and Sam Smith will share how Jaguar Land Rover is reimagining the in-car experience through a modern UX lens, blending software innovation, driver needs, and a vision for “modern luxury.”
01
Designing Inside the Machine
From ambient lighting to infotainment controls, every interaction in a vehicle now carries UX weight. Nick and Sam will unpack the unique challenges of designing for a moving, safety-critical environment, and how the role of interface design is expanding within the cabin.
02
From Switches to Software
The cockpit has changed. As physical buttons give way to screens and gestures, they will share how design teams at JLR are adapting to new user expectations, bringing mobile-level polish and responsiveness to an entirely different context.
03
Software-First, Experience-Driven
Cars today are defined by software as much as they are by engineering. Nick and Sam will explore how JLR is pivoting to a software-first design model, shaping every digital touchpoint to deliver personalization, elegance, and the “modern luxury” standard the brand is known for.
