Hear From Industry Leaders

This workshop we be focused on the foundations of the JavaScript programming language. We will discuss the role of JavaScript in web applications and introduce JQuery, a framework for JavaScript web application development.

 

During this event we will build a simple responsive web app that calculates tips with varying percentages, taxes and totals. 

 

What You'll Learn

 

  • Functional fundamentals of JavaScript
  • Web DOM manipulation
  • JQuery JavaScript framework 

 

Pre-requisites

 

  • All you need is a laptop and some previous knowledge of HTML and CSS. We will assume participants are comfortable with HTML tags, attributes, ids and classes along with CSS selectors, declarations and inheritance rules.

 

This workshop is non-refundable or transferable.

    Visitors being dropped off by a ride sharing service or taxi should enter the Starbucks across the street at 700 W Pender St as only city busses are allowed on Granville St in front of the campus.

  3. Once You're Inside
