Google Parent Stock Climbs 3% as Alphabet Revenue up 21%

Alphabet’s revenue increased 21% last quarter, the Google parent has reported, powered by strong ad sales on mobile and video. The boost spurred a 3% surge in the company’s stock.

Consolidated revenue rose to $21.5-billion, up from from $17.73-billion a year earlier. Profit was just under $5 billion.

Alongside Facebook, Alphabet seems to own the mobile advertising market.
