Riko Hamblin
Senior Software Engineer
Riko is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft with over six years of experience building and scaling backend systems, with a focus on applied AI and data infrastructure. He works in the Azure Data organization on Microsoft Fabric, a cloud-based data analytics platform, where he designs and maintains large-scale architectures, supports cloud migration efforts, and ensures the reliability of systems handling up to 20 billion requests per month.
Before Microsoft, Riko held engineering roles at Amazon and RBC, working on backend services and enterprise architecture. He has hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and AI integration, particularly in production environments. Riko holds multiple industry certifications, including the Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and is passionate about making technical concepts accessible to learners through practical, industry-driven examples.
