Speakers

Dominic Wong is the Director of Design at Invoke. He has worked with a sea of digital products, startups, and ’preneurs for years, and with brands including Arc'teryx, Boeing, Modo The Car Coop, and Warner Brothers Television.

While his background in Interaction Design lends to the construction of holistic digital experiences, Dom’s work with startups and products has helped him bring a user-centred, iterative approach to all of his work. Including poaching the perfect egg.

As Design Manager at Mobify, Jaybe Allanson oversees a growing team of talented Interaction Designers responsible for building mobile shopping experiences (Web and App) for some of the most recognized brands in the world.

His responsibilities include: empowering Mobify designers to create amazing work, guiding design decision making, streamlining processes, and providing leadership in navigating the design challenges present by the ever-evolving world of mobile shopping.

This panel will be moderated by Mallory O'Connor.

Mallory is the practice Lead of enterprise experiences, innovation and is responsible for helping enterprise clients create great workplace experiences. Her goal is to work together with people inside organizations and understand the opportunities to create compelling changes to tools, systems, culture, processes, and ultimately, experiences. Building on more than 15 years in the field of user experience, interaction design, and information architecture, Mallory now works with clients to solve holistic enterprise problems using collaborative techniques from the service and experience design perspective.

Mandy K Yu is a Designer, Brand Strategist, and Educator who uses design thinking methodologies to solve problems across creative disciplines and platforms. She applies her graphic design background and leadership experience to tackle projects ranging from digital to physical spaces. Her client roster includes Loblaw Digital, EQ Bank, CanJet Vacations, Deloitte Digital, LoyaltyOne, BrainStation, and Quantum Coffee.

Ellie Moon is the UX Director at Kabam Games, overseeing the user experience of two products: Marvel: Contest of Champions and Transformers: Forged to Fight. Her background includes communication design, UX for console games, and advertising. She has been an advocate for incorporating UX into everyday decision-making processes in mobile game development and for integrating Data Analytics into UX design methodologies.
